GM Financial All-Star Elite Sale at Manheim Pennsylvania, a "home run" success!

GM Financial hit a home run last month, when buyers lined up to take part in the All-Star Elite Sale event on May 17 at Manheim Pennsylvania.

Most participating dealers were local, but some dealers traveled over 800 miles from Wisconsin to attend. Overall, GM Financial had a strong participation from GM franchised dealers in the auction lane and online.

"The All-Star Elite Sale was a huge success," said Dan Heinrich, vice president of Asset Remarketing. "We ran 249 vehicles through the lanes and 192 of those were NAAA certified; over half of the vehicles sold were to GM franchised dealers. Without the hard work and diligence of multiple GM Financial departments and Manheim Pennsylvania, this sale would not have been as successful. Because of the exceptional work from those involved, this was an outstanding event and I'm proud of everyone who helped make it a 'home run.'"

The event was designed to signify the beginning of the lease turn-ins that will fill GM Financial's lanes for years to come. The All-Star Elite Sale differs from regular monthly auctions because of the products offered and quantity of vehicles running through the lane. The late-model GM vehicles offered during the sale were either leased through GM Financial's lease program or in great shape in accordance with NAAA standards.

"We know that our dealers are looking for late-model vehicles, from 2010's-2012's, to boost the quality of inventory on their lots. Most of the dealers in attendance were excited to see these vehicles coming through the Elite Sale lane and are looking forward to the lease inventory that GM Financial will continue to sell in the foreseeable future," said Robert Brown, Asset Remarketing promotions and communications manager.

The All-Star Elite Sale kept dealers eager to bid on a Grand Prize offering of an MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby package including a three night stay in New York City and four tickets to the All-Star game and Home Run Derby. The grand prize winner was a dealer that had not been to Manheim Pennsylvania in 18 years: Baker Chevrolet in Red Springs, N.C. GM Financial also offered pre-sale drawing prizes to help bolster dealer traffic, including an Apple® iPad® mobile digital device* and a signed Tom Seaver jersey with 1992 Hall of Fame Inscription, as well as a tent in the lane stocked with hot dogs, a popcorn booth, cracker jacks and apple pies.

"It was good to see an event that gave us the opportunity to advance our business relationships with the participating dealers," said Ron Duckwall, vice president of Credit Center Operations Philadelphia.
