Remarketing expanding dealer program for elevated service

In January, GM Financial's Remarketing Solutions department piloted a dealer concierge program to 31 select GM Financial floorplan dealers in the North Central region to address the need for tailored attention given to our most important dealer relationships. This program, officially titled Remarketing Signature Service (RSS), is now set to expand in April to all five GM sales regions in the U.S.

The program will grow from 31 dealers to more than 50 through this next phase. This growth will allow the program to expand on its services in order to cater to the regional differences between dealers.

What makes the program noteworthy is that it’s the first of its kind to support floorplan dealers in this way.

"This is a unique program that no other manufacturer is currently offering, so it does set us apart from a Remarketing perspective, and adds a valuable service to the suite of benefits offered to our floorplan dealers," said Nick Heinz, VP Remarketing Solutions.

The goal of RSS is to maximize dealer engagement in the online and inlane Remarketing channels, as well as to provide a personal touch that sets GM Financial apart from other wholesale options. Through this program, GM Financial will ideally become a dealer's preferred source for quality, pre-owned inventory.

RSS benefits include:

  • Assistance with locating quality, pre-owned GM inventory.
  • Priority customer service and personalized training.
  • Active sales leads sent straight to dealers.
  • Upcoming scheduled maturities with a possible equity position that may easily be converted into an incremental new car sale.

The expansion of RSS will strengthen the Remarketing Solutions value proposition by increasing engagement, not only with the pre-owned departments of dealerships, but also with the Business Development Centers (BDCs) and new car retail operations. In addition to more efficiently sourcing top quality pre-owned inventory, this relationship helps participating dealers manage their maturing lease portfolio more effectively and maximize earning opportunities associated with GM and GM Financial Remarketing incentives. RSS makes it easier for a GM Dealer to do business with GM Financial, resulting in incremental new and used car deliveries and an improved bottom line.

Lisa Best, Lease Retention Manager at Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC in Youngstown, Ohio, praised the program because of the extra resource it offers her dealership.

And the positive reviews keep pouring in. The program is receiving endorsements from both within and outside GM Financial.
