Episode 1: Exclusive Access
04/01/2019 / Dealer Insider
GM Financial offers GM dealers two exclusive ways to purchase inventory to stock their pre-owned lots.
From exclusive access to purchase lease returns, to first access to vehicles on GMF DealerSource®, we're making it easy for GM dealers to find premium options for their used car business.
OPTION 1: PURCHASE GROUNDED UNITS
To purchase grounded units, dealers use the GMF DealerSource 'End-of-Term Options' Tool.
Save time and money. Save on transportation costs and move vehicles quicker when you purchase vehicles already at your dealership.
The most successful dealerships have a process for intaking lease returns that includes a UCM or similar reviewing the vehicle to determine if it’s a good fit for inventory.
OPTION 2: PURCHASE ON GMF DEALERSOURCE
To purchase vehicles listed on GMF DealerSource, designate a buyer in the dealership, often the Used Car Manager.
Grounding dealers get first right of refusal.
Search by make, model, trim, distance from dealership, special features, and more to source the inventory you and your customers need.
Transportation can be arranged in GMF DealerSource, or you can arrange your own transport through a preferred vendor.
